Purchasing/Stores Assistant

Summary of Role

This role will be working within a small, fast-paced Purchasing team, on Stock Management and Fleet Activities.

As a store assistant, you will assist in the procurement of materials, goods and services and the general coordination and organisation of Clarion’s internal bespoke recording systems along with Fleet management.

Monday – Friday (10am – 2pm)

Main Duties and Responsibilities

General Duties

· Adhere to all company procedures and policies

· Meet and greet

· Ensure the smooth running of the purchasing process

· Answer calls promptly and professionally.

· Adopt Clarion’s customer-focused culture

· Monitor all office equipment and report any problems.

Customer Relationships

· Provide excellent customer service to existing and new customers, ensuring a good working and nurtured relationship with customers

· Promote collaboration between the teams by liaising with other departments as required.

Stock Management

· Stock Take

· Monitoring of stock levels throughout the business (staff vehicles)

· Goods in/out

· Prepare unused stock or returned stock for resale, recycle

· Label in a clear and concise manner.

· Prepare materials to be booked out for specific jobs

Fleet

· To ensure the fleet management is robust with all servicing, MOT’s driving licences are up to date and maintained

· Ensure that vehicles are taxed when required.

· Ensure that all fleet vehicles are checked and updated and returned monthly.

· Maintain accurate filing and documentation in a paperless system.

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as dictated by your changing role within the organisation and overall business objectives of the organisation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3 years experience in a similar role in a similar environment (Preferable)
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, etc (Essential)
  • Good understanding of customer contact databases (Essential)
  • Excellent customer service skills (Essential)

Personal Qualities

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to use own initiative to respond quickly to various situations.
  • Presentable at all times.
  • Ability to work in a hands-on small dynamic team
  • Keen to learn

Salary: £8,000.00 – £12,000.00 per year
