Description
This is a field based role which requires a degree of physical work, working at height and driving to and from sites within a given day. Carrying out your duties may be in a lone working scenario or with a colleague depending on the job at hand. Primary duties will be to deliver preventative visits to access control, intruder alarm and CCTV systems mainly in commercial environments, to Clarion’s and NSI standards, within a given time. Depending on experience and Clarion grade, you will be expected to deal with pre-booked preventative visits on small or large systems, and attend to reactive faults demanding more or less technical experience.
The higher grade engineer will typically have excellent fault diagnosis skills including on the more complex systems where a less experienced engineer will concentrate on preventative maintenance, straight forward repairs and replacements, and basic faults.
GENERAL DUTIES
- To adhere to company procedures and health and safety policy.
- To act in a professional manner with customers and suppliers of Clarion.
- To wear Clarion’s uniform and PPE during working hours.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
- To maintain Clarion’s equipment in good working order, and store safely in an organised way.
- To request spares or equipment as required from your line manager, to ensure you can carry out your duties efficiently.
- To look after your company vehicle if provided, as per Clarion’s standards.
DOCUMENTATION
- To complete and return all required installation or service related paperwork, via PDA or email if possible.
- To complete and return HR documentation in a timely manner, via our dedicated Timesheet email group or HR on line platform where appropriate.
SERVICE DUTIES
- To adhere to NSI codes of practice and industry standards
- To participate to call out rotor as issued by Clarion
- To carry out maintenance visits as and when scheduled by the Service Desk
- To keep your line manager and service desk updated on your daily progress
- To deliver all tasks as per your grade to the best of your ability
- To liaise with suppliers and manufacturers for technical advice when necessary
- To provide telephone support to selected Clients when on call with a view to diagnose and rectify faults
INSTALLATION SUPPORT
- To occasionally assist the Installation department if required by the business.
