In 2008, Clarion won the Panasonic Award for PPI Best engineer. The PPI Scheme has been championed by Security Management Today and involves the CCTV specialist accrediting installers and integrators who can meet strict criteria in terms of training, technical service and support. In return, selected PPIs enjoy the full support of Panasonic’s System Solutions Division in the UK.
Subsequently, Clarion’ Managing Director Chris Billinge was very proud to meet with Mr Teruhisa Noro, Panasonic director for systems and equipment at our head office. Mr Noro is currently responsible for the smart-town project in Fujisawa city. The town, on a parcel of 19 hectares (45 acres), will be the first of its kind in Japan to be built from the ground up. Not surprisingly, it will display high-tech devices made by Panasonic.
