Clarion acted as Main Contractor under Construction design and management (CDM) Regulations. The project included CCTV, biometric access control and physical perimeter protection. Clarion successfully delivered the whole package and has retained the Client, working closely with them to ensure the systems are optimized and maintained regularly for maximum protection.
This project included the installation of a new high resolution fully IP digital recording solution (value circa £200k), based on 198 cameras (14 of which are fully functional) and recording on 12 x 32 channel NVR recorders. The viewing, control, and management of the system are provided at 4 separate locations within the site using ASM100 management software and multiple flat-screen displays.
The installation also included a biometric access control system controlling circa 80 doors, airlock controls, external movement detectors, video and audio intercoms, 600 metres of electrified fencing, an external ram resistant vehicle barrier, turnstiles, and sliding gates.
All aspects of the security package for this project were provided by Clarion, which also included the supply and installation of all the data networks and fibre optic backbone. Since its completion, the system has now grown to 223 cameras and 13 NVRs.
