Clarion gets awarded the security contract for security system design, installation and maintenance on the Old 1850 Exchange Railway Station in Liverpool.
The station closed in 1977 and was partially demolished but the frontage was preserved and incorporated into a new office building built behind. The challenge for Clarion was to come up with a cost-effective solution to satisfy the Facilities Management Company as well as the End User and their security advisor, without compromising quality.
The Security Design includes full perimeter protection, intercom, monitored CCTV with video analytics:
- Clarion advised on full perimeter coverage using fixed and fully functional PTZ cameras, connected and recorded and controlled by the HD surveillance system.
- The CCTV system integrates at the hardware level with the access control and intercom systems offering efficient, simplified operation of the entire electronic security package.
- Due to the location and size of the building, the zoned public audio address has been designed into the proposal. This will allow the remote monitoring station to issue an audio challenge to certain areas of the perimeter upon alarm activation.
