Our international client operates a paper mill in Bury and required CCTV camera upgrades as well as software updates to enhance the system from Avigilon standard to enterprise. In March 2018, the customer approached Clarion and requested us to provide a solution to ensure the system was future-proof and fulfilled their requirements.
The 11,000-square-foot commercial mill required the replacement of 11 ageing analogue CCTV cameras with 11 new IP CCTV cameras (Avigilon 2.0 megapixel cameras with a wide dynamic range, day/night recording capability, and analytics to recognise shapes and movement and transmit alerts to security).
The project also included relocating a pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera to a place on site that did not have adequate coverage; this required the installation of a new 6-meter tower, which offered clear footage over a vast area.
Finally, we upgraded the standard Avilgion licence to Enterprise in order to give the client with a variety of additional benefits. This contained a variety of functionalities such as facial recognition, licence plate recognition, and an unlimited number of servers on the system.
